"My wife and I decided we needed to get our yard landscaped. We wanted to go with a landscape design company who would take care of all of the organization and oversee the construction. After looking around and doing some research we found Elemental Design. Rhadiante the owner and landscape architect visited us and right away we could tell that she was very talented and knowledgeable in yard design and architecture. "Recently I was faced with a new landscaping project in my front yard (380 sq. ft. of weeds that had overtaken a grass lawn that succumbed to the drought) as well as three small planting areas in the backyard (~30 sq.ft. each) whose plant roots had been causing havoc with my main house drain. I had some ideas on what to do but knew that I could benefit from the eye of a good landscape architect. After a brief Google search I contacted Elemental Design and had a telephone discussion with Rhadiante, the owner and designer at Elemental. I sent her photos of my yard and arranged for an onsite visit. The initial onsite visit lasted 2 ½ hours and included very detailed discussions of my objectives, different options (e.g. gravel/stones vs ground cover in the front yard). We settled on Dymondia in the front and moderately large decorative pots in the back. I had drafted ¼”/ft scale drawings of both locations which Rhadiante annotated real time on what needed to be done to prepare each area, including removing some of the current soil in front and back, adding soil conditioner in the front, gopher/mole mesh, etc.
Rhadiante coordinated with the landscape crew to do the heavy work and plant the Dymondia and met me at Pottery Planet where we picked out the pots (two colors and three sizes). We settled on polished black stones to fill in around the pots, which looks spectacular. Lori coordinated all activities associated with other subcontractors/suppliers.
The project proceeded efficiently and was completed in less than three weeks from late July through mid-August. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend Elemental Design. Rhadiante and Lori are a pleasure to work with and made this project a success without the aggravation that could have accompanied it."

"We had the opportunity to work with Rhadiante Van de Voorde, Landscape Architect, during the recent major remodeling of our San Jose Home. After interviewing two other Landscape Architects we decided to hire Rhadiante, initially because of her qualification and enthusiasm.
Almost immediately we were extremely happy with this choice. What we liked most about Rhadiante was her warmth and professionalism. We found her to be an extremely good listener and very easy to communicate with. She wanted to know what our ideas were and what we wanted to see in the finished project. She went to work, on site, complete with portable drafting table, tons of supplies, and even books to help us make decisions on specific plant and shrub types.
Her ability to perform far exceeded our expectations. She had wonderful ideas and seemed inspired and motivated by the challenge to create what we said we wanted in our home.
