We hired Rhadiante to develop a plan for our home in Ben Lomond. We had a lot of property that had no cohesive design theme. Rhadiante produced a design that focused on native plant species, which fit well in our mountain community. She managed all the contractors for the “heavy lifting” parts of the landscape work, and helped us find plants at a reasonable price so we could complete the planting and final details. We were very pleased with the result! When we recently sold our home the new owners told us that the beauty of our landscaping was a big factor in their purchase decision. I plan to use Rhadiante again for our new house, and recommend her without reservation.

I just wanted to take a bit of time and heap some praise upon you. As you know, Nicole and I have spent the past 5 years planning and building the addition to our home in Pleasure Point. It’s a project that has literally been filled with blood, sweat and tears.
Since I have been so involved with the home, and done so much of the work myself it can be hard for me sometimes to involve someone else in the process, after all this was “my” project. Nicole and I always knew that while the house is something special, that is had some significant issues that would have to be addressed with the landscaping. I mean, who builds at the back of the lot and then wants to balance a driveway with privacy and safety?!?
We talked ideas for months (years!) and we both knew how the landscaping would make, or break, the look of the home and the utility of the yard. Eventually, I realized that we needed some new ideas. The very first time that you met with Nicole and I, we knew we found the right person to design our yard.
You listened to us and I feel like you “got” what we were asking for immediately. I have told people since then that while Nicole and I talked about ideas or years, you came up with fantastic idea that blends all our needs in just minutes.
The entire planning process was fantastic, the ideas you brought to the table and the way you listened again made us feel like you really understood what we wanted. Even in times were I don’t think we could have told you outright what we really wanted. You have in no small way helped us to make our house even more of our home. I cannot thank you enough for your involvement in this process. I literally cannot wait to see the plans move from the paper into reality.

Thanks to Rhadiante we have a backyard that is so beautiful that people literally gasp when they see it. The work was done about 7 years ago and everything has grown in and looks fantastic. Rhadiante is a talented designer.
Rhadiante worked carefully with both of us to include the features we wanted. She provided us with renderings that allowed us to preview the layout and features. We received detailed sets of blueprints for the contractor – lighting, irrigation, hardscape, and plants. Rhadiante worked closely with the contractor to ensure everything was built as specified.
We got exactly what we wanted. Our backyard is an extension of the house and a great space for relaxing and entertaining. We’ve used it for a wedding and countless other functions with family and friends.
One thing I might do differently next time is to carefully consider how the sun moves across the yard – where and when it will be light/hot or cool/shady for the various “rooms” in consideration of how I plan to use the space.

We first met Michelle Van de Voorde shortly after moving into our new home. Our house had a very large backyard and no landscaping. Together with Michelle and the contractors whom she hired, we created something beautiful to behold! My husband and I had contemplated the area for some weeks, a nd we knew what was important to us. Michelle added her creative touch to our ideas and developed a fabulous blueprint including patio, plants, trees, lawn and even a spot for a hot tub and a meditation garden. She knew exactly the right contractors to hire. Presto! Each day we are surprised and delighted as this beautiful garden unfolds!
